1908 records · 9 dates

This page records the latest changes made to the site. Every correction to the text rests directly on the checked data and historical records that replaced the statements of the previous version.

A new finding is checked against the registry data as soon as it arrives. It then either enters the text or is rejected. This page records that stage of review. Two critics examined the previous version, and each item was compared with the registry. The page lists the changes that were accepted and also the four findings that the historical sources did not support. Comparison with the registry is our main editorial rule. That is why the site keeps its grades, and why the statuses "confirmed", "probable", "not confirmed" and "withdrawn" stay visible.

Editorial notes

  • 2026-09-30

The whole site went live in English under /en/: every chapter and every record page, with the Georgian quotes kept verbatim and English text where the records carry it.

  • 2026-09-30

The second research sweep was merged: 51 new bearer records and 26 new settlement records, municipality and coordinates for 24 settlements, 19 new verbatim excerpts with their claim links, and a trailing slash on every internal link so that no page redirects.

  • 2026-09-30

The Meskheti figures of Silagadze and Totadze's 1997 book (data of 1 February 1995) were re-read from the scanned pages: the site had swapped Aspindza and Akhaltsikhe and had wrongly withdrawn the Adigeni figure. All three now stand (Aspindza 745, first; Akhaltsikhe 521, fifth; Adigeni 353, fifth) and the earlier note is retracted as our own mistake.

  • 2026-09-29

The editorial revision stopped presenting legends and unconfirmed reports as facts. Every timeline field received Georgian text, and the contribution page was rewritten.

  • 2026-09-29

Research corrections were applied to the data on people, claims, the timeline and villages. The doctors' entry was split and census years were corrected on village pages.

  • 2026-09-26

Structured data was added to the site. Pages with thin content were taken out of the search index, and the site was registered with Google and Bing.

  • 2026-09-26

At the next stage of research, graded sources were added to the bibliography. Direct quotations, new passages and village mentions were extracted from some of them.

  • 2026-09-26

A printed index confirmed that Berisdze (ბერისძე), a 13th-century serf in Shida Kartli (შიდა ქართლი), existed. The site's earlier correction was therefore reversed and the related claim regraded.
