Folklore, recorded in ქართული დიალექტოლოგია I (1961), p. 362. A genuine field record with a named village and living lineage names — say that too; it earns respect without granting it historicity. The 1961 record misplaces the village in "Akhaltsikhe district"; it is Aspindza.

    Today this lineage is called Zandarienti, and earlier it was called Zarzgienti". According to the present-day Beridzes living in the village of Partskhisi, they came here from Aspindza district. Originally, in the 1873 census, they were recorded as Beridzesshvili, and in the 1886 census they are mentioned as Beridze.
