Born at Mugareti 1910. The family took the surname from his grandmother Eva Beridze, whose husband from Tatanisi moved into her house. Deported to Namangan, Uzbekistan, in 1944; back at the Laituri tea farm near Makharadze 1957; Ganja 1970; Mugareti 1984. The author notes the family never changed its surname.
