The Beridzishvili surname probably arose from the Beridze surname. The present-day Beridzes living in the village of Partskhisi suppose, going by their ancestors' tradition, that they were resettled from the Aspindza district and that originally, in the 1873 census, they were written down as Beridzeshvilis.
