აჭარაში ბერიძეების არსებობას ადასტურებს დიმიტრი ბაქრაძის მიერ მიერ აღმოჩენილი საბუთები. მისი მტკიცებით ეს საბუთი აჭარაში მაჰმადიანობის გავრცელებამდეა შედგენილი, სავარაუდოდ XV საუკუნის მეორე ნახევარში. ეს საბუთი ცნობილია როგორც იასე ცინცაძის სიგელი, რომელშიც ნახსენებია აზნაური ბეჟიტა ბერიძე.

The presence of the Beridzes in Adjara is confirmed by documents discovered by Dimitri Bakradze. According to him, this document was drawn up before the spread of Islam in Adjara, probably in the second half of the XV century. The document is known as the charter (sigeli) of Iase Tsintsadze, in which the aznauri (noble) Bezhita Beridze is mentioned.
