Claims

  • B-005 A The earliest document with an exact date that names the family is a charter of 25 October 1411 (koronikon 99) from Kartli, in which დავით ბერისძე and his wife მითა sell a vineyard at ბოტოტა to Svetitskhoveli under Catholicos ელიოზ. It survives in a later copy (Mtskheta documents No. 160; Corpus II No. 30). The name is older: a serf ბერისძე appears in a Shida Kartli blood-money claim of the second half of the 13th century (b-201).
  • B-024 B Bishop იოანე ბერიძე headed the ჯუმათი diocese in Guria around the turn of the 18th century. His installation is dated 1687 (ქართველიშვილი 2006, via Georgian Wikipedia and გურიის მოამბე), 1688 (AKAK VI/2, 1875, after Bakradze's Gurian acts) and 1704 (the Shemokmedi gulani notes printed by Brosset, 1850).
  • B-204 B Bishop იოანე ბერიძე of ჯუმათი, 1687–1705
