ჩვენს სოფელში ქართული სკოლის გახსნას თავის დროზე მარტოოდენ საგანმანათლებლო დანიშნულება არ ჰქონია – ეს ფაქტი მაშინ უდიდეს ეროვნულ-სახელმწიფოებრივ მოვლენად იქცა. რომ ქართული სკოლა არა, აუცილებლად გაგვათათრებდნენ, იმდენად ახლოს ვიყავით მათთან ტერიტორიულადო.

rendering, not the wording of the record
The opening of a Georgian school in our village did not have a purely educational purpose in its day: it became an event of the greatest national and state importance at the time. If not for the Georgian school, they would surely have made Tatars of us, we were so close to them territorially.
