In the charter of grant of serfs and estate (qma-mamuli) given by Giorgi III Gurieli in 1664-1667 to the chief bailiff (boqaultukhutsesi) Mirzabeg Tavdgiridze, the witnesses named are Giorgi Beridze, master of guests (mestumretukhutsesi), and Otar Beridze, majordomo (sakhltukhutsesi).

At the turn of the 17th–18th centuries the princely (თავადი) ბერიძე house of გურია declined: the offices it had held at the court of the გურიელი passed to the ნაკაშიძე family, and the ბერიძეები were reduced to the rank of აზნაური. In the 18th century the childless აზნაური მამუკა ბერიძე of დვაბზუ bequeathed his estate to საყვარელ ნაკაშიძე.
