    Skhirtladze (2005) cites the church of Tsakhani as built in 1433 by Beshken Berisdze, among Samtskhe gentry donors. Brosset, who copied the inscription on the church (by then a mosque), gives only 'Bechken' in French. If the surname reading holds, this is the first dated Berisdze in Meskheti.
