• 1882 წელს ეგზარქოსმა იოანიკემ (რუდნევი) სტიქარი უკურთხა. მე-19 საუკუნის 80-იან წლების ბოლოს თბილისის წმ. ალექსანდრე ნეველის ტაძარში გადაიყვანეს და დიაკვნად აკურთხეს. 1890 წელს ეგზარქოსმა პალადიმ (რაევი) მღვდლად დაასხა ხელი და კუკიის წმინდა ნინოს ტაძრის წინამძღვრად დაამტკიცა. საქართველოს ეგზარქოსმა მასვე დაავალა სასაფლაოზე დროებითი ეკლესიის აშენება. მართლაც რამდენიმე თვეში სასაფლაოს ტერიტორიაზე აშენდა ქვის პატარა, მაგრამ მაღალი ეკლესია ხის გადახურვით.

  In 1882 Exarch Ioanike (Rudnev) blessed him with the sticharion (stikhari). At the end of the 80s of the 19th century he was transferred to the Cathedral of St Alexander Nevsky in Tbilisi and ordained deacon. In 1890 Exarch Paladi (Raev) ordained him priest and confirmed him as rector of the St Nino church in Kukia. The Exarch of Georgia also charged him with building a temporary church in the cemetery. Indeed, within a few months a small but tall stone church with a wooden roof was built on the cemetery grounds.

• დეკანოზი იოსები გარდაიცვალა 1931 წლის 1 მარტს და დაკრძალულია კუკიის ეკლესიის უკან. მის საფლავზე წარწერაა: ”აქ განისვენებს დეკანოზი იოსებ ილიას ძე ბერიძე. ამშენებელი წმინდა ნინოს ეკლესიისა, სასაფლაოს გალავნისა და მისი გარეშემო შენობებისა. დაბადებიდან 72 წლის გარდაიცვალა 1 მარტს 1931 წ.”.

  Archpriest (dekanozi) Iosebi died on 1 March 1931 and is buried behind the Kukia church. The inscription on his grave reads: "Here rests Archpriest Ioseb Beridze, son of Ilia. Builder of the church of St Nino, of the cemetery wall and of the buildings around it. Died aged 72 years from birth on 1 March 1931.".
