Yet we really do have many double-suffixed surnames of this geographic type in Georgian: Dighmelashvili, Koshkelashvili, Gremelashvili, Egriselashvili were indeed formed from people who moved from the villages of Dighomi, Koshki and Egrisi. The earlier surnames of many such families are also known. For example, the Dighmelashvilis come from the Genebashvilis, the Egriselashvilis from the Beridzes.
