According to Bakar Batonishvili, the prince (tavadi) Kakhaberidze, who went to Russia with Vakhtang VI, had come as part of the dowry of Vakhtang's mother Tuta, daughter of Gurieli. According to the same account, Kakhaberidze split off from the Beridze family in the XII century, in the time of Giorgi III.
