Philologist, rector of Samtskhe-Javakheti State University 2014–18; author on Meskhetian toponyms, ნასოფლარი ერკოტა (2013), მაჰმადიანი მესხების ფესვები (2009). Born Aspindza 27 Sept. 1949 per NPLG 00017879, whose linguist directed TSU's Meskheti branch 1990–2005 and wrote a 2005 doctorate on Meskhetian toponymy; the identification with the rector fits but no source states it
