"Here are the ruins of two churches, on which a peasant has made a straw barn: a month ago, in this village, the head of Lower Adjara, the respected Giorgi Aleksandres dze Beridze, found a large dressed stone with a khutsuri inscription. The inscriptions have been copied and the stone is kept" (Chichinadze 1913: 177).
